The journey through life takes you through wonderful and different cycles or stages. I call these cycles the Learning Stage, the Yearning Stage and the Earning Stage. “While the earth remains, seed time and harvest, cold and heat, winter and summer, and day and night shall not cease.” So it says in Genesis 8:22 and so it is in life. We all need to be able to understand and recognize these cycles, so that you can make the necessary strategies. This is a part series in which I will break it down for you so you develop a deeper understanding of what each stage entails. We are going to map out a basic life strategy together. My recommendation is that you view this as a navigation system; the information is all there so you don’t get lost but you decide where you want it to take you. There are no timelines for when a cycle begins or ends. Young or experienced, this idea forms a good foundation for living a purposeful life.
The Learning Cycle
This stage is exactly what it says, in this phase you are getting educated. Not educated in the sense of a doctorate or PHD but you learn things about yourself; your capabilities and your shortcomings. You are at your most adventurous, bubbling with ideas on how to forge your destiny. This is often the time when you are starting your own family, or trying out new business ideas.
According to John 9:4, “I must work the works of Him who sent me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work.” Put in the work, and you will reap the rewards later in your life. So before we go further here is something to think about this weekend. Who are you? Are you on your adventure yet? Take time out to identify YOU, this is a pre-requisite to the strategy.
