Our Teeth Are Set on Edge

Still continuing on disrupted life cycles, we need remedies so that we move back to our life cycle path. If we don’t make an effort to realign we will take at least a generation, if not more, to correct this. To illustrate this I will try and give my own understanding on how cycles in Zimbabwe have been disrupted.

When our young people went to fight the war of liberation in the seventies, that was a major disruption of an entire generation. The fact that most of them after coming back from the war were not integrated properly back into normal lives still haunts us today. Without a holistic reintegration which deals with all areas of their lives opportunistic political players will always take advantage of them in perpetuity without really sorting out their real disrupted life cycles.

Unfortunately if they are not put back into where they should be in the cycle of life they will continue to also cause a disruption in other people’s lives. Most of these are in their fifties and above, which means they ought to be in the cycle of grace where they should be laying up their legacy and ensuring that the generation coming after them will never have to suffer bondage of any kind. But the reality is that they find themselves in a cycle of fighting in perpetuity, this time for their own daily survival. This causes them to act out of grace because they have been thrust into the yearning stage. We then find ourselves in perpetual Chimurenga wars, as we all know you hardly can build when you are at war.

Solution to this is that we need a lasting solution to our beloved veterans because failure to do so will continue to spin the country out of its life cycle. This is why issues of succession are taboo in this country, beloved liberation veterans lives were disrupted and never corrected and have found themselves needing to fight until they die, whilst by now they should be in the cycle of grace where they should be empowering others.

In order to realign everyone into their correct cycle we have to assist and help our veterans to to get into the cycle they should have been by now, where they should be more concerned about the well being of the generations coming after them instead of fighting for their survival and relevance.

I will deal with the other disruptions that have affected us and we find ourselves misaligned to our cycles consequently.

I found the scripture below to be quite interesting as we deal with the disruption caused by our war of liberation, though it gave us our freedom it left us in a perpetual fight because we failed to realign those who sacrificed their lives. TODAY THEY CONTINUE TO FIGHT FOR THEIR SURVIVAL AT THE EXPENSE OF THE NEXT GENERATION.

Jeremiah 31:29-30, In those days they shall say no more: ‘The fathers have eaten sour grapes, And the children’s teeth are set on edge.’ But every one shall die for his own iniquity; every man who eats the sour grapes, his teeth shall be set on edge.
